Ines Marques Ribeiro

Ines Marques Ribeiro is a MEDIACTION researcher and project coordinator. She is an Integrated Researcher at the Centre for International Studies (Iscte). Currently, Ribeiro is working with the National Defense Policy Directorate as a researcher preparing studies, advising, and preparing policy documents on National, European and Transatlantic Defense. Ribeiro holds a PhD in History, Security and Defense Studies focused on European Defense (Iscte). She holds an M.A. in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe (Bruges), and a post-graduation in Classical Studies (University of Lisbon). Ribeiro is also Guest Assistant Professor at the History Department (Iscte). Previously, she worked as Editorial Assistant at the Portuguese Journal of Social Science (Iscte).

Mafalda Casais

Mafalda Casais is a MEDIACTION researcher and project manager. She has an undergraduate degree in Design and a master’s degree in Product Design from the Lisbon School of Architecture, University of Lisbon. Subsequently, she did a PhD at the Delft Institute of Positive Design (TU Delft), in the Netherlands. Between 2012 and 2022 she has been involved in teaching and supervision (Bachelor, Master, and PhD level). Mafalda Casais is author and co- author of over 20 publications, 13 of which are indexed by Scopus. Currently, she works as a science manager.

Rita Alves

Rita Alves is a MEDIACTION researcher and communication manager. She has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Communication from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra and a master's in journalism from the School of Social Communication, having developed a dissertation on the media coverage of the terrorist actions of the Popular Forces on April 25th. Currently a PhD student in Communication Sciences at Iscte, where she is developing a thesis on media and terrorism.

Rodrigo Rodrigues

Rodrigo Rodrigues is a MEDIACTION researcher. He has an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies – Media Studies/Journalism from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a specialization in International Studies from Iscte. He is currently enrolled in a master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe in Natolin. Previously, Rodrigues reported on real time media coverage at the European Commission in Portugal. In addition, he served as acting-coordinator at the Azores EU Office, providing strategic reporting on EU legislation.

Sofia Rocha

Sofia Rocha is MEDIACTION’s science communicator and content producer. Rocha has an undergraduate degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia from ESCS. She has worked at CIES-Iscte, in the Communication and Planning Office since 2017, where she does science communication, organizes scientific events, and provides support (graphic, audiovisual, etc.) to different research groups and projects. She also organizes non-academic events and is a graphic designer and illustrator.

Ana Luisa Prado

Ana Luísa Prado is a MEDIACTION researcher. Prado has an undergraduate degree in Political Science and International Relations, with a Minor in International Relations, at the University of Beira Interior. She has experience in research as a coder in research projects, such as Maple ERC. She did an internship as a research assistant at the Centre of International Studies (CEI- IUL). Currently, Prado is a Master student in International Studies at Iscte. Her research interests are the Euro-Atlantic space, NATO, the European Union, diplomacy, and political discourses.

Ines Pinto

Inês Pinto is a MEDIACTION researcher. Pinto holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations from ISCSP and she is currently studying Development and International Cooperation as a master’s student at ISEG, both from University of Lisbon. She is working on the impact of hybrid threats in fragile states in Africa as her final research project. She interned at the National Defense Policy Directorate at the Portuguese Ministry of National Defense and her interests also focus on European Union responses on tackling disinformation in the Euro- Atlantic space and NATO.

Francisco Cardoso

Francisco Cardoso is a MEDIACTION researcher. Cardoso has a degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures, with a Major in North American Studies and is currently a master's student in International Studies at Iscte. He has worked extensively as the organizer of youth educational conferences and events, particularly for Amnesty International. Cardoso has focused on the topic of disinformation, particularly in a North American context, as well as on USA foreign policy.
